A local classic:
A short walk from Bayshore Town Center sits Kopp’s Frozen Custard, one of Milwaukee’s more delicious landmarks. Situated along a busy road, tucked in between a large hotel and a FedEx Office building, the unassuming restaurant would be hidden if not for a shiny arch that reaches from the road and directs one’s attention to the tasty oasis. Upon entering, one is immediately greeted by a host of scintillating sights, sounds, and smells. While customers have been greeted this way here since 1978, Kopp's locations throughout Milwaukee have been serving the city since 1950.
The building itself is short, circular, and outlined in the front by a series of brick columns, inter-spaced with tall glass windows. With no front entrance; the only entrances are located on the sides of the building, allowing for a more unified social space in the interior. The building is flanked by two small amphitheaters, which provide ample and varied seating opportunities in fare weather, fostering a sense of social interaction. include link to kopp's website: www.kopps.com |

Kopp's has been a staple of the local community since the 1970's and the Milwaukee area since the 1950's. An interesting observation gain from simply going to Kopp's is that, it's a gathering place for everyone regardless of age, ethnicity, or social group. Everyone can come and feel relaxed here, one fun thing about Kopp's is that they have a flavor forecast for their renowned frozen custard.
